Me oleme harjunud motlema, et suhkur on hea toiduaine.Meie laste muinasjutud on taidetud lugudega magusast,Hansu ja Gretekese lugu naiteks.Ykski tahpaev ei moodu ilma magusata.Kokaraamatud on tais retsepte magusast."Vaikesed tydrukud on tehtud suhkrust".

Suhkur ei ole tegelikult toitaine.Toitained on rasvad,valgud,mineraalained.Suhkur ei anna midagi kasulikku organismile.

Teadlased teoretiseerivad, et inimene synnib loomuparase kalduvusega magusa armastusele.Siiski on olemas tervislikud alternatiivid rafineeritud suhkrule.Kaks koige levinumat varianti on mesi ja vahtrasiirup.
